Bound (2015) Movie Review
Greetings Dan's Movie Report readers. Today's fine film is 'Bound'. No, not the sexy amazing one with Gina Gershon, that had men climbing the walls, this is the 2015, rather tepid one, modeled after '50 Shades of Grey', but more like about 3 to 4 shades of grey, perhaps a dull grey at that.
The film opens with a 40 something business woman having a steamy affair, that is anything but steamy. Charisma Carpenter, plays our lust heroine and is just chalked full of salacious ideas, sadly when it comes to acting on them on screen she is more of a cold fish than hot minx.
The film ties in the fact that her father is CEO of a failing company that has lost 100 million dollars and is ripe for take over by another company! Also in the film is Terrell Owens, he plays a mogul who buys property! Seriously T.O. of football fame is in this! I was stunned, complete with his clever character name of course "Terrell" I have to hand it to the good folks at The Asylum, wow they reach deep for awesomeness! Terrell gives the most stupendous, greatest, amazing, earth shattering, breathtaking performance ever on screen, wait dammit, wrong movie.
Of course she is seduced by an younger man who goes by Ryan (Bryce Draper). If anyone can make a rather tepid stodgy love scene any less interesting Bryce you win! Not sure if it is direction, or his own sense of actually being afraid or repulsed by Charisma Carpenter, I must say Bound has some of the most unusual and uninteresting love scenes, with the "who gives a crap" facial expressions to match.
Ok, enough of the negative, the movie does get quite entertaining plot wise for the last 30 minutes, when Ryan purchases a 'special' gift for Michelle. He asks her to 'wear it' to the board meeting, and this meeting is anything but bored! Haha. Well then one thing leads to another and some crazy mixed up crap happens which I will not spoil, yeah it is worth a watch to see it. Think bondage, and face-mask!

The brightest spot in the film is definitely Michelle's daughter Dara (Morgan Obenreder) She exudes style and panache. Her character is rebellious and fun. Also she gets involved in some way with the kinky stuff, and surprise, she pulls it off with ease. Morgan has a bright future in acting, she has a clear speaking voice, expressive eyes, and is seems to put 120 percent into her effort on 'Bound'. Cream rises to the top, and sometimes even an average film can bring out the best in people.
Overall 'Bound 2015' is average, the last 30 minutes push it to the solid rent category and rates a 5 out of 10. Morgan I give a 9 out of 10 for her performance! The film is available for worldwide purchase.
