Greetings valued Dan's Movie Report readers and perhaps new readers who came aboard for this horror review! Red Room is a hard boot to the gut in terms of horror. This ultra low slasher/captive film is a slow burn of torture and death. A wealthy couple hires a group of thugs to abduct young girls and hold them captive, torturing them, while others pay to watch on a close video feed.

Simple plot yet, Red Room channels an inner Dario Argento with imagery and atmosphere. The first part of the movie sets the stage, as the girls are abducted, this is a personal nightmare, time is taken to learn a bit about each young lady, prior to the madness beginning.

Truculent and vituperative, Red Room, is the horrible guilty pleasure sure to delight fans of extreme films. A word of caution, Red Room is such a violent and sexual film, honestly I cannot imagine that it would ever be appropriate for anyone under 18, the “torture porn” genre is carried out, but with a sordid story and many twists and turns near the end.

Red Room rates a bloody and harrowing experience, a 7 out of 10. The film releases on DVD and streaming platforms March 19th, 2019 Please visit www.breakingglasspictures.com
