As 2012 comes to a close, it is time to unleash a 2013 feature on Dan's Movie Report. Spotlight interviews with independent film makers, yep people who put up their own cash to make films! My philosophy is, the more one believes in something, the further a person will strive to achieve! Some have even risked their own house, all in the pursuit of a dream!
First up is Rena Riffel. She portrayed Penny in the original Showgirls, and has continued the character with Showgirls 2: Penny's From Heaven. With producing, and directing the new film, creating a back story, writing the script, and starring as Penny, Rena wears a variety of hats. Supporting independent film makers not only gives them money directly, more often then not the money goes directly into shooting another film. I urge all of my readers to either buy directly from the film maker or attend a screening of films in this category.
